Who We Are
The Saginaw Fire Department is a highly trained and dedicated team that operates 24 hours, 7 days a week. We serve approximately 24,450 residents. As First Responders, our mission is to protect lives, property, and the environment through fire suppression, emergency medical services, public education, and disaster response. The Saginaw Fire Department is honored to serve the people of Saginaw.
Responsibilities
The fully paid municipal Fire Department provides:
- Code application and enforcement
- Emergency management
- Emergency medical service
- Fire and explosion investigation
- Fire prevention
- Fire suppression
- Hazmat operations
- Rescue
We operate out of two fire stations and have 30 personnel.
